Curtis is a native of Yarrawonga, Victoria, Australia the daughter of Carmencita Ojales a Filipina from Bolinao Pangasinan and James Ernest Curtis-Smith, an Australian lawyer. Her father was married in 1982. was married by Ojales. Jasmine was her sister younger than her. She is also an actress. Clare passed away from an illness of the heart in 2007 when she was barely 4 months old.
